Governance

data security and privacy

Our customers are some of the largest companies in the world. They require physical and data security for the equipment they deploy in our data centers, as well as data privacy protection for the business contact information that they share with us. Equinix’s privacy officer, in partnership with our global information security officer, leads our on-going efforts to monitor, assess, analyze and adapt our policies, processes and procedures to comply with all applicable new and evolving data privacy laws in the regions in which we operate. In 2020, our Privacy Office made progress on its goal to embed the concept of privacy by design into new system deployments and business process improvements across various parts of the business.
